Take a large strip of agate wool and roll it into a sausage shape. Holding it against the foam pad, poke the body in a straight up and down motion with a 38-gauge felting needle. Leave one end of the body unfelted for attaching the head. You know it is ready when it feels spongy when you press it with your finger.
